Freezin'

I mentioned in my last post about the YaYa's. That's what I call my friends from the Class of '67. Of course the name comes from the lifetime friends in the book, The Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood. Like the ladies in the book, we share a bond with each other. We stay in touch and get together when we can. Now, thanks to technology, we e-mail each other almost daily. I sometimes think we have more fun now than we did in our teens!
One of the YaYas has made a name for herself in the music world, Beverly Houston. So after YaYa Joyce, Stan, Jesse and I went to see Beverly and her band, Breezin', perform in San Antonio, I decided it would be fun to let Joyce and I be a part of the group and we could call ourselves Beverly Houston and Freezin'. (I know you were wondering how the title of the post was going to fit in.)
That's Joyce on the left, Beverly in the middle, and I'm on the right. So far Beverly has not invited us to sing with her on stage. LOL

Thelma & Louise & more!

This is me (driving) and 3 of my "Yaya" friends. You'll hear lots more about them on my I Hope You Dance blog. The Yaya in the back, with the pink flower on her hat, loves to go shopping for greeting cards. Quite often she will buy a funny card and send it to me to scan and do something different with it. For this picture the four of us had got together for a day of shopping, eating and visiting. We also took a few pictures. I digitally cut our faces out of the photos and replaced the old women's faces on the card.

I'm laughing now thinking that if this photo is still around for our great great grand kids to look at, they will think we were a wild bunch of ladies!

Riding on the Water

Well, not really in the water. I just cut out son # 2 and son # 3 from other pictures and super-imposed them on another photo that came with my computer.

Photo Manipulations

I became hooked the first time I tried to change a photo. There have been so many, that I can't even remember the first one. I think I first started putting someone's head on a different body. I played for hours trying to make the manipulated photo look natural.
Some of my creations have taken minutes and others hours, but it's always been fun. I guess I have developed a reputation at work because whenever it's someone's birthday, I am always expected to come up with some interesting creations using photos of the birthday person. We all have had some great laughs.
